1. Who We Are

Ukitz (ukitz.com) is a free online toolkit developed and operated by Nafees Shaikh, a software engineer based in Mumbai, India. You can contact us at shaikhnafees99@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Files You Upload

When you use a tool that requires file processing (PDF compression, conversion, image resizing, etc.), your file is transmitted to an isolated, ephemeral processing session on our servers. Files are:

• Not stored in any shared or persistent database
• Not accessed by any Ukitz team member during normal operation
• Automatically and permanently deleted within 30 minutes of upload — whether or not you have downloaded the result
• For the File Transfer feature, files are deleted within 15 minutes

Some tools (JSON Formatter, Base64 Converter, Hash Generator, Regex Tester, and certain image tools) process data entirely in your browser — no file or data is ever transmitted to our servers.

2.2 Technical Log Data

Our servers automatically record standard web server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the date/time of requests. This data is used solely for security monitoring and server administration. Log data is retained for a maximum of 7 days before automatic deletion.

2.3 Cookies and Analytics

Ukitz may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g. which tools are most used). We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics that profile individual users.

If you install Ukitz as a Progressive Web App (PWA), a minimal local cache is stored on your device for offline capability. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect only to:

• Deliver the requested tool output (process and return your file)
• Maintain the security and reliability of our service
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve Ukitz

We do not sell, rent, share, or use your files or personal data for advertising, profiling, training AI models, or any purpose other than providing the service you requested.

4. Third-Party Services

Ukitz may rely on the following third-party infrastructure for hosting and delivery:

• Cloud hosting provider — our servers are hosted on a cloud platform. Processing occurs within isolated containers. The hosting provider does not have access to the content of your files.

No file content is shared with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)), including:

• The right to access information we hold about you
• The right to request deletion of your data
• The right to object to processing
• The right to data portability

7. Children's Privacy

Ukitz is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Ukitz after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
